Advanced Instructor (Abante Taga Pagturo)
- Certification Requirements
- This certification level has been established for those practitioners who
already hold Basic Instructor's Certification and who have attained a
minimum technical ranking of Black Belt 1st Degree (Lakan/Dayang Isa) or above in the
American Modern Arnis Associates. The practitioner must be recommended by a
certified American Modern Arnis Black Belt Instructor holding a minimum rank
of Advanced Instructor in order to be considered as a
candidate for certification. The candidate must be examined by the American
Modern Arnis Associates' Senior Teacher who will be a member of an optional
four (4) person Black Belt Examination Board, not to include the candidate's
instructor. The candidate will be expected to have a sound understanding of
and the ability to effectively apply and instruct others in the basic and
advanced principles and philosophies of American Modern Arnis as required for the
technical level of Black Belt 1st Degree. Certification can only be granted by
the American Modern Arnis Associates' Senior Teacher.
- Responsibilities & Authority
- Advanced Instructors will be responsible for the guidance, supervision and
training of lower ranked Trainers and Basic Instructors. Advanced Instructors
will also be responsible for serving on Black Belt Examination Boards for
Trainer, Basic Instructor and Advanced Instructor candidates. Advanced
Instructors may promote students and issue rank up to the level of Brown Belt
(7th level/Likah) and recommend candidates for promotion to a Black Belt level which
is one (1) below their own technical rank and recommend candidates for
Instructor Certification. Black Belt promotions and Instructor
Certifications can only be granted by the American Modern Arnis Associates'
Senior Teacher.
